To many industries, 2020 means sailing in unchartered water but all is not lost. As COVID-19 brought the world on its knees, the retail industry was compelled to rethink their strategy and fast-track their digital transformation journey.
Invited to speak at the Retail Summit 2020, Gilles Rakotonatoandro, Vice President, Digital Product Development, Li & Fung Trading Services (Shanghai), shared his knowledge and experiences on digitalization. He revealed how the Li & Fung digital platform and virtual sampling shorten production lead time, increase flexibility and allow retailers to stay ahead of the game.

Experiences were shared, interesting ideas were exchanged and connections were formed, resulting in a fruitful discussion.
Other topics discussed include trends in global and China retail, retail in a post-COVID-19 era, personalized shopping experience and artistic element in retail. Organized by the China Commerce Association for General Merchandise, the two-day conference in Shanghai brought together 250+ industry leaders from across the nation.
